Today at the mill we are busy bustling around and gathering the finishing touches for our stand at
Edinburgh Yarn Festival! Whilst John is finishing off making some specials to bring (he can’t help himself), and packing the van and trailer full of woolly goodies, we thought we would share some of the treats we are bringing up with us.
As the Autumnal weather takes hold and start preparing our Christmas knits and socks (dare we say it!?). This means it is also the time of year where we begin to send out our new catalogue.
We thoughtfully approach every yearly catalogue to best show you our sock styles, yarn ranges and tops blends. We won’t ruin the new catalogue by sharing to much but here are some behind the scenes photos (and a couple of tasters) to give you a glimpse of this year’s feel.
Our 3rd Mill Open Weekend is now just around the corner (Sat 14th and Sun 15th May)!
We are busily polishing our most prized machines – they will be standing proud waiting to show you what they’re capable of!
Here are a few photos of our machines in action to wet your appetite!

What a blast we had at Fibre East … we camped, got rained on and had a fabulous show.
As always, it was great to see everyone again and catch up with projects in the planning and just completed.
A lovely customer – Adrienne, who often visits our stand at shows, has finished her blanket that we have been longing to see for months!
A whopping 3.5 Kg worth of Knit By Numbers yarn was used to create this amazing piece!
It looks totally wonderful…

After much deliberation of what to call our new Merino/Zwartbles browny/green top, made exclusively for the secret Mill Members page…
…it is now called SYCAMORE… we felt Spinach did not do it justice, it will be available on the secret Mill Members page imminently.
Do we think Sycamore works the best?
